Alisha Gupta of DPS Jammu Shines at the Prestigious International Hindi Olympiad

Alisha Gupta, a Class III student of Delhi Public School Jammu, has brought laurels to the school by securing the 3rd position in the prestigious International Hindi Olympiad. She was awarded a certificate of appreciation along with a cash prize of Rs. 2,100 for her remarkable performance. The Olympiad, organized by the Hindi Olympiad Foundation, was held on January 20, 2025, with results recently declared.
The International Hindi Olympiad, open to students from Classes I to X, was conducted in two rigorous rounds. Round I was held on August 30, 2024, and witnessed enthusiastic participation from 421 students. DPS Jammu students excelled, clinching 14 gold medals, 43 silver medals, 56 bronze medals, and 113 rank certificates—an impressive display of the school’s academic prowess. Round II, conducted virtually, also saw commendable participation and outstanding results.
In recognition of these exceptional achievements, Delhi Public School Jammu was conferred the ‘Sarvashretha Vidyalaya Puraskar’. Ms. Indu Bala, the in charge of the Olympiad, was felicitated with the Distinguished Contribution Award. Other teachers who received commendation for their unwavering dedication and support include: Ms. Reena Sharma, Ms. Neena Sharma, Ms. Reena Manhas, Ms. Chandni Abrol, Ms. Manmeet Kour, Ms. Kamni, Ms. Rajini Sharma, Ms. Sonika Sharma, Ms. Shabana Rahil, Ms. Meenu Parshotam, Ms. Meena Khajuria, Ms. Pooja Gupta, Ms. Roseline Shalty, Ms. Santosh Kumari and Coordinators, Ms. Preeti Abrol, Ms. Prerna Malhotra & Ms. Anuradha Wadhera.
Adding to the pride, Principal Ms. Ruchi Chabra was honored with the Principal’s Award for exemplary leadership and for guiding the school to such heights of academic success.
