DPS JAMMU FACULTY SHEETAL KOHLI RELEASES HER FIRST NOVEL ‘HURRICANE WEARS LIPSTICK’

Sheetal Kohli, Academic Coordinator at Delhi Public School Jammu, has released her first novel titled ‘Hurricane Wears Lipstick’. The book shares powerful stories of truth, strength, and emotions, especially from a girl’s point of view.
The novel follows the life of Diamond (Dia), a young girl growing up in a society full of rules, pressure, and judgment. Through Dia’s journey, the story shows the silent struggles that many girls face — losing their innocence, keeping their pain hidden, and slowly learning to heal.
As girls grow up, they are often told to stay quiet, act mature, and follow what others expect. Hurricane Wears Lipstick brings attention to these challenges — moments when dreams fade, trust is broken, and childhood ends too early. But through all the pain, the story also shows courage, hope, and the strength to start again.
“This book is for every girl or woman who has gone through tough times and stayed strong,” said Kohli.
‘Hurricane Wears Lipstick’ encourages readers to think deeply, break harmful rules, and celebrate the quiet power that helps women survive and grow.
