DPS JAMMU STUDENTS GEAR UP FOR ONLINE EVALUATION AND GET RESULTS ON WHATSAPP

As all educational institutes are closed down under precautionary measure against Covid-19, teaching staff of Delhi Public School Jammu created new milestones by conducting Online Entrance Examination and Evaluation for students of different classes and creating a unique system of sharing result of the final examinations with the parents on WhatsApp.
As Parent Teacher Meeting (PTM) was scheduled on Thursday and Friday, the class teachers shared the result of their students with the parents online, asking them not to visit the school to avoid health risks. Simultaneously, around 75 children appeared for Online Entrance Examination on Tata Test Prep platform, the evaluation of which, was also done online and the result shared with the parents same day through text message.
School teachers have also prepared Foundation Worksheets and other study material for sharing with children online, which will serve as a bridge course for the next new session. To further facilitate online teaching-learning facilities, lesson plans, homework and voice note, the school is also working to launch online platform 'School/Teacher Connect', in collaboration with Tata Class Edge, School App, to assist in home based learning. In another initiative, herbal sanitizers using Neem leaves, Aloevera Gel, Lemon peels and distilled water were used for sanitizing the entire campus including rooms, laboratories, lobbies, doors, desks and school buses used for ferrying the students.
Principal, DPS Jammu, Ms. Ruchi Chabra informed that the school has declared 'work from home' for all employees and said that all the above measures have been taken to ensure safety and health of students and staff amid the ongoing Covid-19 crisis.
Hon'ble President, RCT, Sh. M.K Ajatshatru Singh Ji, Hon'ble PVC, Kunwrani Ritu Singh Ji and Hon'ble Director, Sh. S.S Sodhi Ji advised everyone to stay indoors, wishing safety and good health for all. They also appreciated the efforts of the school staff for taking suitable measures for ensuring that no student or staff gets affected by the deadly disease.
